Forum Romanum

Once the center of all social life in ancient Rome, Forum Romanum is the perfect place to soak in a bit of Roman history. This is a place where you can spend a week if you take interest in Roman history or where you can have an enjoyable stroll if constrained by time.

Forum Romanum is not far from the Colosseum and Capitoline Museums. You must see the ruins of the square that once was the center of the Roman public and political life, a place where ancient markets used to take place. The oldest buildings in the square date back to 200 BC.
